The second growth phase (catagen) also known as the "transition phase". In the catagen phase, the hair follicle shrinks and separates from the blood supply, and the hair is pushed outwardly. Finally, during the third phase (telogen), hair and follicle are active for several months, and the hair just sits there. Once the telogen phase, the hair will be paid, and the anagen phase starts again.

Anagen (growth) -> Catagen (separation of the blood supply and grow) -> telogen (latency) -> Start Over & Shed


Hair growth occurs at a rate of about 0.5 inches per month.


Growing Healthy Hair 
The quality of the hair growth is affected by several factors, including diet, exercise, supplements and genetics. In this article, we will discuss the factors that are under our control, diet, exercise and supplements, but before moving on to hair treatments after growth.
